Yarrrrrgh

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

Aha, so Thursday turned into it’s usual hanging around in a bar talking shit and listening to people on guitars. Well, in a flash of inspiration, I saw a newspaper, and decided to make some pirate hats for Myself and Lyle… About 2 minutes of jealous onlookers, at how kicking radical we were in our hats, basically everyone except one jerk who was playing the “I’m too cool for you pirate hat” angle, to impress his girlfriend, who was probably talking to us more than him. People started to come up to us and ask for hats… Wtf I thought. Sharing is caring.
ANYWAY! Photos.

Was quite entertaining when everyone is wearing your creation, and the guy playing guitar on stage is yelling at you via the microphone, because he wants a hat. Ahahhah. By the end of the night, my hands were covered in newspaper ink, and I had made about 10 new friends.

Ok, some bad photos, kind of hard to explain in non point form just what the hell happened this weekend, but the jist of it is: Got fkn trashed, climbed on stuff, met up with randoms I haven’t seen in years, made out with a sassy black woman, who lyle then dropped off a chair, and gave her concussion (smoooooth), ate too many kababs, lost my pants to a statue of a sheep (photos withheld), then did it all again saturday!

Special mention goes to Lyle for falling off every obsticle in his path. Whinger Dan for punching me in the forehead, and the busload of tourists @ 7am for letting me show them my nipples. Oh god, everything on my body hurts now.

A pretty good mix

Ol’mate Berry sent me a MSN the other day with a link to a dude that does remixes of stuff, thought I might share the link around, as… Sharing is caring. Looks like there is about 50 songs in the mix… Sounds alot like Aphex Twin, pretty cruisy.

Mental Note

Sleeping in your car, if not in an underground carpark, makes you wake up covered in sweat.

Dodgey Photos

Monday, September 11th, 2006

Ok, I managed to abuse Dan enough to get him to send me some photos, and found a bad video of me dancing in a carpark. It looks like Dan’s camera puts some dodgey night filter on everything, which in turn leads to pixilation and “scratchy” images.

Which has at least opened my eyes when I go and get mine in a couple of weeks, make sure it has a good flash, not a “light”, because the exposure time on the crap light ones makes the picture blur, and the lens take in weird amounts of light.

Fun! No idea when this video was taken, I think it was taken at the same time as the secrets thing, but I thought I would share it. Because, hey, movies are fun.

The BBQ was kind of a failure to be honest :P Ended up being windy as hell and freezing, so we just headed inside, watched all 4 of my football teams lose, one after another, then went into the city.

Undercover Tasmanian

Friday, September 8th, 2006

Ninjad my way over to Tassie from Wednesday until Friday afternoon, met up with relatives, no photos because my phone is still shit and hasn’t grown a camera. 2 and a half days with the olds, drinking too much coffee and eating a “plethra” of biscuits. Everyone looks like they’re doing pretty good. Not much to say really, it’s so rare that I actually get the time to go down there, that I’ve sort of lost contact with them all, and have nothing to talk about… So… Steeve Irwin…? Yeaaaaah.

My Itallian uncle gave me some good advice for going over seas… “Stay away from dem FUCKING GYPSIES” *takes note*

Drinking with my cousin and his homeless friends is always good fun tho, and I got to see my sister for the first time in 9 months. Yawn, I’m just typing in here to kill some time, got a BBQ to attend, hair of the dog. Another successful night of sleeping in my favourite carpark, got some indigestion going, all I need now is 4 beers and a steak.

Oh, happy birthday to Fleabag and Filthy Dan. Should have some photos to bust up here from the BBQ tonight – After I steal Lyles phone or something. Oh shi- I forgot to get presents… I hope they like… uh… *looks around room* … Broken computer monitors.

DAMNIT, I just got a SMS, Lyle didn’t get them the double ended dildo. Shows over.

The warcraft addiction

Sunday, September 3rd, 2006

Well, I stopped playing for about 2 weeks, and found that I was sleeping better, waking up not feeling hungover in the middle of the week, and spurts of creativity derived from doing things other than playing video games were starting to return. The character Sonuku on Blackrock servers was alot of fun to play, and hanging out with my guild Indoor Kids was great fun.

But alas, all good things come to an end, and workload stopped me playing. The account, after not being played for two weeks is now out of game time, and is basically just sitting there null, doing nothing. I’ll probably end up giving it to the guild or just someone completly random, but I don’t think I could sell it. Morally the time and effort put into this fictional thing, requires some sort of burial at sea.

For any guildies that read this, probably the only goodbye I can give is… It’s Lob’s fault, always is, always will be.

I might play again one day. Probably once things have calmed down with my working hours and I can relax a little. In the meantime, morsels of Counter-Strike: Source and a little Gunbound are keeping me sane.

Bogan river

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006

After a Friday night at the Tradies, getting back-handed in the face by Rummy, bleeding all over everything – making a scene, and sleeping in my car, the 10am carbon monoxide laced morning air was too sweet to ignore. Bracing myself for the sunlight that was going to burn my retna as soon as I drove out from the warm three level concrete security blanket, I remembered today was Saturday! Winner!

We had arranged a BBQ down at the river! Fuck we’re bogans. BBQ, creek, beer, assorted meats. I minced my way over to home, quick shower and change of shirt/socks, and made my way over to Lyles. Ignoring the fact that I’m almost broke from the quiet Friday beers that turned into the “Hit in the face by an angry man two times my size”, the two of us made our way over to Belconnen markets to get some food.

Now, Curwood’s girlfriend from America is kind of sheltered when it comes to food. Lyle and I figured we’d introduce her to some kangaroo steaks and sausages. Needles to say, they look AND smell, fucking horrible. But taste OK I guess.

After some quick introductions and chewing the fat in a carpark, headed off down to the Cotter (that’s the name of said shit river). Played some football, cricket, many frisbee throwing (successfully hitting Dan in the head more than once) and cooked the food. Nothing really exciting, everyone just chilled, had some beers, and had a damn fine spring afternoon in the sun.

Pegleg pirate Justin and Kate came along! OMG! Havent seen these two in like two years. Nothings changed tho, his “Chankles” are all broken and in plaster, but thats about it. And I’m so going to steal Kate and hide her in my basement. Stockholm syndrome anyone?

Few people have camera phones, but, seeing as I’m not on my new wage until September, I’m still shit, and have no camera. If anyone has more photos, plz giv k guy. Whoever was there, thanks for the pro afternoon, and Lyle-I’ve changed my mind whilst writing this, I’m never eating kangaroo again, it’s like fkn rabbit or something, tastes like oil and sawdust.
